Radiologic Technologist

 

Radiologic Technologist produce clear and accurate images of the body that enable physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions that would otherwise be difficult to document. Technologist operate sophisticated equipment that includes X-ray, mammography, computerized axial tomography (CAT) and positron emission tomography (PET) scan devices. By guiding patients through each step of their medical imaging procedures, these specialists ensure the production of high quality images. They also play a pivotal role in assuaging the anxieties of patients who may be concerned about the procedure or their condition.

Looking for a professional that has the ability to conduct CT scans and MRI scans. Additionally, with the steady advancements being made in technology, medical equipment is becoming more and more mobile, so the availability to be mobile and drive a small van will be needed.

Hours Monday - Friday  8am-5pm with occasional weekends.

  • Explain the procedure to patients.
  • Position patients so that the relevant parts of their body can be radiographed.
  • Conduct a CT, or computed tomography, scan.
  • Conduct an MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, scan.
  • Adjust and maintain the X-ray equipment.
  • Keep patient records before and after the procedure.
  • Provide portable imaging services in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and homes.
  • Candidate needs to be able to drive a van and move small portable X-Ray machine.
  • Ability to do blood draws and EKG's.
